Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2, 2026. This policy explains what personal information The Redline Garage ("we," "us") collects when you use redlinegaragenj.com, why we collect it, and how it's handled. It does not cover the rental terms themselves — see our Rental Agreement for that.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information you give us directly when you create an account, request a booking, or message us, including:

  • Contact details — name, email address, and phone number.
  • Account credentials — your password is stored as a one-way cryptographic hash; we never store or have access to your plaintext password.
  • Booking details — the bike, dates, gear add-ons, and notes you submit with a reservation.
  • Payment information — processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number; we only receive confirmation of payment and a reference ID.
  • Messages — anything you send us through the account message center.

We also automatically collect basic usage data (such as pages visited) through Google Analytics, described in Section 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and process your bookings.
  • To communicate with you about a booking, respond to messages, and send account-related notices (e.g., password resets, email verification).
  • To process payments and refunds through Stripe.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access (for example, rate-limiting repeated login attempts).
  • To understand overall site usage and improve the site, using aggregated analytics data.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who We Share Information With

We only share your information with the service providers necessary to run this site and your bookings:

  • Stripe — payment processing for bookings, deposits, and refunds.
  • Supabase — our database provider, which securely stores account and booking records on our behalf.
  • Resend — our transactional email provider, used to deliver account, booking, and message notifications.
  • Google Analytics — aggregated, anonymized site-usage analytics (see Section 4).

We do not share your information with any other third party except where required by law.

4. Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are viewed, how people arrive at the site, and general usage trends. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information in aggregate and anonymized form. It does not receive your name, email, phone number, or booking details.

We also use a small number of strictly necessary cookies for site function, such as keeping you logged in to your account. These are not used for tracking or advertising.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and booking records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time (see Section 7).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) site-wide, hashed password storage, and secure, access-controlled hosting for our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable safeguards.

7. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & correction — you can view and update your name and phone number any time from your account page, and can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion — you can request that we delete your account and associated personal information, subject to records we're required to retain for legal or accounting purposes (e.g., completed transaction records).
  • Opt out of analytics — you can use a browser extension or setting that blocks Google Analytics; this does not affect your ability to use the site.

8. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children, and renters must be at least 21 years old per our Rental Agreement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
